Introduction

Welcome to Coconut Palms, a resort full of fun and activities for everyone. Whether you’re an adventurer or enjoy the peace and relaxation of nature, fresh air and beautiful beaches, the fun has just begun!!! We offer lessons in the native tongue, followed by energizing aerobic sessions. Buena suerte! Afternoons find us lounging around the pool or playing a rousing game of water polo. There are even daily dart competitions for those with great aim. But that is just the beginning. Start your trip by enjoying the blue and tranquil waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Get acquainted with the facilities on Sunday, sign up for a walk along the beach and get to know some the other guests, or relax by the pool. "Happy Hour" starts at 4:00 with the entertainment  around the pool. Meet the staff and have any questions you have answered, then at 6:00, come and make new friends at the "BBQ". As Monday roles around and your week begins, enjoy the biggest water park in the Caribbean on our "Water Park Tour". It is great fun for the whole family. Join us after dinner in the Palm Room for the "Welcome Party" with a live merengue band and free fruit/rum punch for everyone. A celebration you won’t want to miss. Coconut Palms offers a variety of water sports for those in search of beautiful afternoons full of sun, sand, and sea. Discover the liveliness of the coral reef, sunken ships and tropical fish when you join us on our snorkeling and diving excursions. Or travel just 10 minutes to Sosua or Cabarete for fantastic surfing, mountain biking, windsurfing, jet ski and much much more!! Your not tired yet are you? Plan a morning of playing volleyball on our beach , and take advantage of the Wednesday afternoon Fresh Fish FRY. Fabulous BBQ fish with traditional Dominican accompaniments. Later in the evening you’ll find us watching yet another performance of inspiring local talent. Don’t forget to check with Activities for the Palm Rooms "DAILY SPECIAL". Then on Thursday, we are off to explore the pre-Hispanic history of the Dominican Republic on our tour to the Nature Park and Caves of Cabarete. See first hand the many impressive caves, from voodoo to the musical caves, and swim in fresh water in the natural pool cave. An invigorating discovery of ancient times. Don't forget to join us for a night of gambling in one of Puerto Plata's most popular casinos. Friday night finds you winding down, but it is not over yet.
